Christmas Day 2012

We had a wonderful Christmas with Mom.  We had brought her over to Brian's parents house, Pat and Gary Fanning.   All of Brian's siblings were their with their children, so Mom got a blast watching the kids  play.  Trish had given me a present to give to mom and one of the item's was this cute little Beanie Baby reindeer that had huge green eyes.  Mom was just so thrilled with it.  She was talking to it and petting it and telling it what a good boy it is.  Typical mom, very loving, gentle, sweet and kind.  We had a wonderful dinner of typical holiday foods, turkey, ham, etc.  I fixed mom a plate and she enjoyed every last bite.  She  has such a great appetitite and we hope that continues.  I took her back home about 7 PM.  She was tired and one of the aides helped me get her into her PJ's and we sat her on the couch in her room.  I asked if she was ready to crawl into bed, but she wanted to sit on the couch looking a magazine.  She said she was really tired.  I asked if she had a good Christmas and she said it was wonderful.  Mission accomplished.
